About Us

Strike Out Cancer is a fundraiser started by Stephanie Sauers-Boyd. Stephanie is a sister, daughter, wife, caregiver, and business owner that loves to give back to those in need.  In 2010, after realizing all of her husband's support, she decided to setup and tackle the planning and implementation of a fundraiser sponsored by her family business and local business partners.

Sauers Tree & Landscape Service Inc is a family owned and operated company that provides all facets of tree care, commercial snow and ice management, and commercial landscape maintenance.

Stephanie has been involved with the Relay for Life since the age of 12 when her mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since that time, Stephanie has helped to raise over $35,000 for ACS programs and services, has held multiple fundraisers on top of the bowling event, and has volunteered her time at the Hope Lodge in Cheltenham where cancer patients from out of the area can stay to receive Philadelphia's premier treatments.

Stephanie and Jim were married in 2010 and have been involved with the Relay for Life to a larger degree each year. At the 2011 event they were in charge of entertainment and activities - keeping 800+ participants busy for 24 hours! - At the 2012 event Stephanie was the cochair and Jim was the head of security and for the 2013 event, Stephanie is chairing the entire event.

As a company, Sauers Tree and Landscape Service, Inc. donates to a number of charities including the American Cancer Society, UnitedWay, Willow Grove Charities, local marching units, Willow Grove Bears, and various other community events and projects.
